Self-motivation – this is how it works with the foreign language too

How successful you will be in learning depends to a large extent on how motivated you are in your approach to learning. When it comes to your personal motivation, however, you are not at the mercy of any non-controllable external influences, but you yourself always have control over how motivated you are. Use this fact to your advantage!

Here we have collected tips for you on how to make learning palatable for yourself:
Why do you learn?
Be clear about the reason why you want to learn this new language. Work on not losing your rationale for what you are doing. Because only when you have a goal in mind that you can pursue will you stick with it.

==Control your success!

You will never know if you are achieving your goals if you don’t monitor yourself and give yourself the opportunity to check if you are accomplishing what you set out to do. In language learning, our software is happy to help you with this: after each exercise you finish, you’ll find an evaluation that shows you what you’ve just accomplished. For every correct entry, a nice picture pops up as a reward. Check your progress outside of training with the software: start early by reading books, newspapers and magazines in the foreign language. Of course, you won’t understand every word and every article from the start. But the experience of understanding more and more each week is a great one. Try watching movies and series in the foreign language. Surely on the DVD of your favorite movie you will find the option to watch the movie in another language or with subtitles in the foreign language.

Reward yourself!

Reward yourself consciously for each stage you have reached. After that, continuing to learn will be much more fun.

Switch off demotivating factors!

Is there anything that spoils your enjoyment of learning? What stops you from learning? Try to find such motivational killers and turn them off.
